It is our goal to provide Maple Ridge students with accessible and on-going academic, social/emotional, and pathway planning support.
The secondary school guidance department serves the school community in a variety of ways:
- Assisting with academic planning and course selection
- Supporting individualized academic and career planning, including specialized programs, post-secondary options, and goal setting
- Coaching students through career and life planning, including scholarship applications
- Promoting effective study habits and exam preparation
- Building life skills such as decision-making, problem-solving, conflict resolution, stress management, time management, and relationship awareness
- Offering personal support and referrals to community resources
